Greenville, NC is located approximately 90 minutes east of the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, about 2 1/2 hours south of Richmond, VA, about 5 hours from the Washington, DC area, and about 7 1/2 hours northeast of Atlanta, GA. The closest beach is about 90 minutes away. Greenville, NC is located off of US Route 264, which can be accessed by Interstate 95, which runs from Maine to Florida.
All conference events and sessions will take place on ECU’s campus in the Main Campus Student Center.
AIRPORTS
Pitt-Greenville Airport (PGV) is located in Greenville, NC, and is relatively close to the conference hotels and ECU’s campus. The airport is served by American Airlines with approximately three flights a day to and from Charlotte, NC (CLT). Offers car rental options.
Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN) is located in New Bern, NC, which is approximately 45 miles from Greenville, NC. The airport is served by American Airlines with approximately five flights a day to and from Charlotte, NC (CLT). Offers car rental options.
Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is located in Durham, NC, which is approximately 95 miles from Greenville, NC. The drive is very easy from the RDU airport to Greenville, NC. Offers car rental options.

TRANSPORTATION & PARKING
Parking is available by the residence halls and in the ECU’s Student Center Parking Deck next to ECU’s Main Campus Student Center. All sessions will be in the Main Campus Student Center. A parking pass with in/out access for all 3 days can be purchased for $20.00 when you register for the conference.
ECU buses will be available on a designated schedule throughout the schedule to take conference attendees to and from the Hilton Greenville and the campus residence halls.
Uber and Lyft both operate in Greenville and some of the hotels offer shuttle services from the PGV airport.
LODGING
Hotels with C&W Room Blocks
The following hotels have a courtesy block on rooms specifically for the C&W 2022 conference. These hotels are approximately 3 miles from the ECU Student Center Main Campus where the conference will be held.
ECU Transit will pick up at the Hilton Greenville for those conference attendees staying at the Hilton, Hampton, or Holiday Inn beginning on Thursday 5/19. These hotels are all next to each other. More transit information will be provided closer to the conference.
Please make your reservation as soon as possible. Hotels may sell out before the cut-off dates.

On-Campus/Residence Hall Lodging
April 25, 2022 was the last day to sign up for On-Campus/Residence Hall lodging.
In addition to area hotels, on-campus lodging will be available at one of ECU’s residence halls. Lodging will include a private room in a suite, private bathroom, bed linens, parking at the residence hall, and breakfast each morning at the campus dining hall.
- The cost to reserve a room for 4 nights
(Check-in on Wednesday and Check-out on Sunday is $257). - The cost to reserve a room for 3 nights
(Check-in on Thursday and Check-out on Sunday is $207).
The residence halls are in walking distance (approximately .7 miles) to the Main Campus Student Center, which also has parking available (see above). We will also run shuttles from the residence halls to the Main Campus Student Center.
Residence Halls Accommodations
ECU residence halls are designed in a suite-style: each suite has two private bedroom/bathroom combinations with locking doors for privacy, and each bedroom/bathroom area connects to a shared living room and kitchenette space. (See below for floor plan.) To help us facilitate placing attendees in suites, you’ll have an opportunity during registration to list any considerations we should take into account in placing you in a room. Likewise, if you have an attendee you plan to share a suite with, you will be able to provide their name.
Cancellation Policy for Conference Campus Living Reservations
You may cancel your Conference Campus living reservation for no charge if cancelled in writing (14 days before your arrival date). Please note, refunds will not be issued after the deadline. Please contact cpe@ecu.edu with the subject: Computers & Writing 2022, Campus Living Cancellation Request.
